Canine fans will love to carry around their crochet in this stylish little project bag. This pattern uses a Corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet method to create this lovely colourwork paw print design. This pattern is written with UK terminology and was originally featured in Crochet Now Issue 37.

 

Skill level: Intermediate 

Yarn used: Rowan Cotton Glacé

Yarn quantities: 3 balls in Ecru 725 [Yarn A], 1 ball in Black 727 [Yarn B], 2 balls in Mineral 856 [Yarn C]

About the yarn: DK; 115m per 50g ball; 100% cotton

Tension: 1 block [approx 1cm], 9 blocks by 9 blocks = 10cm 

Hooks used: 3mm 

Other supplies: 25cm zip, sewing machine

Sizing: 30cm x 23cm [when laid flat]

Hints and tips:

  • Carry the yarn at the back of your work, making sure not to pucker the fabric.
  • When working the border, you could try crocheting in some of the ends as you work to save weaving them in at the end.
