Experimenting with KnitPro Tunisian Hooks

I received a KnitPro interchangeable tunisian hook set for my birthday and I've been experimenting with the hooks for the past few weeks. I've been having so much fun trying out the really unique hooks (I've never used crochet hooks attached to a cable before). My first impressions of them are very good; they allow you to work tunisian crochet in the round and also work bigger projects like shawls.

First, I followed a tutorial for the Fable Cowl stitch pattern on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV5vnQ5HpTw

Here are my results:

I absolutely love how the variegated yarn can be seen underneath the white pattern. It looks gorgeous! This stitch reminds me of brioche in knitting (which is also beautiful).

The yarn used is Drops Fabel which I have used in many projects. It is mainly wool based, very cheap and has so many gorgeous colourways.

I also started a new shawl design with the hooks and some handspun but I haven't got too far with that yet. Here's a photo in case you're interested.

I chose this beautiful handspun to work with and it has been very fun so far. I'm not quite sure what shape I'm going for yet. Ill keep you posted on this blog about the process.

These are just my first impressions of the hooks, I will do a proper review on the hook set in a few weeks.

Thanks for reading

Joe :))
